Jetter & Scheerer (aka S/245 and Aesculap for daggers) it probably has a date on the back of the blade which could help with the question asked. Looking at the images my immediate sense is that it could be a TR period rework with a new blued (brüniert) finish? That's not a certainty because sometimes evaluations need a really close look in sunlight. Having seen some that needed a more in depth look to come to a final determination, with some period reworks equal to original factory bluing - and others that you could just glance at and tell what it was with minimal effort. There's quite a bit of white glare off those photos so difficult to pick out details. But there is not much sign of bluing wear on the blade itself, apart from where it has been in contact with the scabbard. Looks like the grip plate has been removed at some time (orientation of screws) but that could be a post war owner. It is a deep bluing but I have seen other J.Sch example with similar finish. So it could have been reblued during the war (we assume the bayonet is made 1939-41). Unlikely to be a post war refurbish as typically the bakelite grip plates were replaced with wood ones. The scabbard shows a bit of bluing wear around where the frog was attached, so if matching to bayonet suggests service use. So overall a very nice condition early war bayonet, that may not have seen much service use.

Same opinion, the piece could be reblued or not, its not possible to say 100% from these pictures,anyway its nice late production of Jetter and Scheerer, Tuttlingen.b.r.Andy
