Looks to be Greek to me. Found on 1895 Mannlicher through the 1914 Schoenauer.

What ever it is I agree not standard German s84/98 issue rivits, sewing, and the horzontial bayonet scabbard stud hole not right for German just what foreign army I'll leave to others. timothy

ok people tnx.I am sure that is not the original German, but I'm sure it's not false (its war period).
