There should be additional letters like 42 cvl or 42 cof, without them is no way to determine the producer.best regards,Andy

Just picked up a 41ASW (Horster) K98 Bayonet. Any idea how many were produced and what years?

I have two bayonets and looking through the lists I see that the ASC Bayonets with only an eagle on the spine of the blade and no other markings are in with the police bayonets. Is this the case with all similarly unmarked bayonets?

Probably not,the police bayonets should be proofed with they acceptance.best regards,Andy
For Salonete, the piece could be 42cul or 42cvl, depends on form of letters by scribed font it should be cvl.
