Bayonet - Paul Weyersburg

Article about: I just received this German K98 bayonet with scabbard and frog. Very good condition with matching numbers, etc. It will go very nicely in my collection of WW II memorabilia.

All in all a nice early war s84/98 with mismatched scabbard as stated RBN marked rough leather frogs are indeed uncommon to find nice set that will display well.

Thanks for the info. I am unable to find any other stamps so I guess they have worn away. Do you have any idea what it might be worth? It was given to me by my father in law about 20 years ago. He brought it back from Germany sometime in the 50's.

Yeah Unfortunate on the mismatch, but it is very common to see that, but it is a nice set!! And I also love that late frog....very nice looking. Thanks for sharing it. Like Mike said, push in the release button and you should be able to see another stamp

Picked it up on ebay for $77.00. Not a bad deal I'd say.

Just to avoid confusion, the bayonet with the scabbard and frog I found on ebay. The one without those was the one my father in law gave me.

    Hello,

the frog is a typical late war example from the maker 0/0655/0013. Two variatios exist from this model, and both were made out of buff leather instead black laquered leather.

The maker 0/0655/0013 is Rahm & Kappmann Kaiserslautern out of my hometown.

    Regards

Variation 2 with bigger black electro-plated rivets.

I show two examples of each variation, so it is not a hazard.
