Pictures aren’t that clear but it looks like an Ernst Pack Und Sohne bayonet
Could be "cof" Carl Eickhorn. The 1944 series did have the 44 below the letters.

Late WW 2 German bayonet, it seems that some presumably postwar owner took off the bayonet latch assembly and reversed the grips (right grip plate on left side etc.) for some unknown reason. Best Regards, Fred
