    Hello all,

I have this Robert Klaas bayonet and was wondering if real or fake.

Also - the writing on the blade - I have tried to translate all but still would like expert eyes to comment and if the writing is real - looks like it was put on by electric pencil.

I can make out the following (I also think there are names of the men he served with)?

Alles fur Ein Fuugge (not sure of this word) on one side - (All for ??)

Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit - ( Memory of my tenure)

thanks for all your help again

the bayonet it self is original. the inscription is harder to determin when it was done. understanding what is writen on the blade would help i think.

    All original in my opinion.

3rd Kompanie / Panzer Abteilung 15 was based in Würzburg.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Again, IMO a fake !

Note the awesome mix of some letters in "Sütterlin" and "Deutsche Normalschrift" !

Some letters are not correctly written, (scratched in the blade), also ! ...

If the soldier had enough money to privat purchase an Extra-Seitengewehr, there´s some money left for an maker´s made etching for sure ...

Also etched Extra-Seitenwehre were awarded to the soldier !

The non plus ultra ist the corny slogan: "Alles für die Truppe" and: Der Soldat ist der Waffenträger des deutschen Volkes" ...

    C´mon ...

If somebody would offer this bayo to me I´d pass it for sure !
