A couple for lovely KS 98 bayonets Kirby and spot on with the dating, the Eickhorn trade mark shown was used between 1905-1920. The use of the three rivets is a feature we see pre-WW1.

yes these are two bayonets that were bought privately. Not army official. Not necessarily from the First World War.
The frogs are also private items. That fits.
The knot on the left is private. The knot at the bayonet on the right is army service. So rather does not fit.
Thanks for the info. I will have to do some more research. I might have a different bayonet that it would be proper with. Would the knot be proper on S98 model 1898.
Looks like a nice Extra KS98.
The S98/05, the S98 or the fixable Demag Dagger are a good home for the knot.
Knots and Portepee were often worn together with Daggers or Knifes
