Dress Bayonet- E.Pack W/Un-plated Blade

Guys, picked this up today at a Yard Sale along with a few other military items. This bayonet appears to have an un-plated blade. I'm not sure if this is unusual but thought you'd like to see. Hal i am pretty sure its a non fixable privately purchased bayonet, but i dont know enough to comment on the blade finish but i will have a little look in my books and see if i can come up with the answear ,
