Steve, Your bayonet appears to be consistent with the reworks I mentioned having some similarities to the one I described earlier. With in the partial view posted what looks like black Bakelite grips. And a “K” (1934) dated scabbard (which I’m fairly certain is just a coincidence, as the other example is from a different maker).

    Nice looking bayonet. Regards, FP

Thanks FP. It has a nice blade and even though not a 'true' matched
set, it's of cleaner condition than the others I have.

Here's a look - It's 2nd from the right in the top pic, and the
one with the 'plum' coloured blade in the center
    of the last photo........

Steve, Nice group photo . It might not be a factory match, but if it’s a period re-matching that still works for me. Here is a full length shot showing that the example I described was used for a period of time after the depot overhaul. Best Regards, FP

I didn't know of the scabbards date. 1934 is quite early for these bayonets.
Still not as interesting as the 'only one number off' bayo first shown.

I'd hate to think of the reprisals the factory worker got for screwing up
from being half asleep, and if the numbers kept getting further
    and further apart !

Reminds me of the 'I Love Lucy' assembly line gag.........
    Regards,

    Steve.

Hello , thanks for sharing of the pictures, it looks like FP mentioned already is a rework piece, it should have a wood grips, so possible it was reworked in war, when possible dissmounting grips, You could look for rework serials? the serials on scabbard looks like restamped? or there are earlier under it. Nice collection of blades.
