Fantasy SS bayonet?

Article about: Well this is a new one for me, and I am guessing at some Eastern European workmanship. Any thoughts please? The bayonet itself looks fine, but I have never seen one engraved like this.

    Another decent and respectable bayonet destroyed by greedy thieves.....If these people are going to try to make some fraudulent thing like this, why don't they ever use Dress bayonets and leave the poor veteran combat bayonets be in peace...

    Sadly we Brits are to blame for these horrors. Done in the 1970's.

    Thanks Larry. Some nice workmanship, but what a waste of good frontline bayonets. How many did they make?

    All I can say as many as the fakers can get their hands on.... And the K98 s are not alone as this cancer has ruined many other dagger and sword types.

    probably runs into thousands.I know I am going to get shot down,but I like them.dont forget guys there were millions of the k98 bayonets made.I am now ducking with my helmet on.lol

    Ade said it best believed to originated in UK 70's was all over here in midwest dealer in late 70 early 80 84/98 service bayonets were never engraved they were a item of issue KS98 private purchase was but that is a whole other issue. If you see service 84/98 like these run! timothy
