Help removing grip screws???

    Default Help removing grip screws???

    Hello everyone..trying to remove a set of grip on a k98 bayonet for replacement. any tips on how to remove these?? noticed they sell a tool for this but would rather keep my $40

    Hi Scott, welcome to the forum!

    There is no need to buy a tool, just use the correct size screwdriver. The two slotted "nuts" will often hold themselves in place. But if not, make a tool yourself from an old screwdriver by filing a slot in the blade.

    I just used the screwdriver on a Leatherman multi tool, worked like a beauty

    Thank you Gentlemen slotting an old screwdriver bit worked fine....
