K98 Bayonet

I think I have a k98 German bayonet with a combination of metal and wood handle/The blade has numbers on both sides/On one side there is some #'s S/244.G on one side and on the other side is 5971 with the letter d under the 4 #'s that matches the scalbert. The scalbert has the same marking 5971 with the letter d under it. On the tip of the scalbert it kind of has a ball shape with the # 44 on it. Does anyone have any info on this bayonet. Sounds like you have a matching number bayonet, but a pic would be nice.

S/244.G is I believe, the makers code for Mundlos with G being the coded date letter for 1935.

5971 d is the individual code for the bayonet.

Hang on to it or sell it - what ever you want to do.
Just know, that it is worth more with matching numbers than a bayo with mismatched scabbard and blade

Looks like it may have been sharpen or that might be just wear.
