Thanks Fred, its up at £50, would the wooden grips suggest it is an early commercial version too, most of the WKC ones i have seen have bakelite grips,

Steve, The early wood (and Bakelite) ones are also going to have a "lined" type of frog stud. But because it's missing it may need a "hands on" look, or some really good additional photos in multiple areas. Best Regards, Fred
To Mattys piece, there are wrong added the screw, head should be on reverse left side. The plastic grips could be on a late ACS piece, some of them are not police proofed. The WKC is really high numbers, it could be it was renumbered to spare scabbard, is there any stamps on ball finial?
Perhaps the early / mid bakelite bayonet grip, not plastic.
Bakelite is a synthetic resin.
