K98 Bayonet 43cul

I picked up a small collection of k98 bayonets the past week. Here's a nice looking mismatched set from it. It's a 43cul for the firm of Ernst Pack & Sohne. The scabbard is a early E. u . F Horster late 30s . The blade has very little wear and drag marks

That's a nice bayonet Humble, I like the service wear evident in the worn blue finish around the hilt and crossbar. Pity it's not got a matching scabbard, but it's certainly cheaper to buy one without, and only the purists worry about it. Is the scabbard dated? As the frog lug without those 4 lines across suggests post 1939. Frog looks good too and lovely tone to that bakelite.

Yes, nice bayonet and frog. A pity the heads of the screws have been burred by it being dismantled heavy handed.
