K98 Bayonet find and opinions
Just some questions. Looks like I have a S/177G 1935 Ernst Pack u. Sohne, solingen 5308d bayonet with 1934 S/ 176k Paul Weyersberg scabbard. The Frog looks original but I am excited to hear opinions. The patina between the two seem to match so I'm sure it was common for the bayous and scabbards to get separated during battle. Or was it common for mismatched serials during is time.

You have a nice early bayonet, and yes, there are
probably more mismatched sets about than
matching. I like the scabbard too.........
Looks like a nice early piece, on parts there is Eagle /118 acceptance? thanks.b.r.Andy
Once these things ere sent back to depots for refurb and reissue, matching them wasn't the priority
