Default K98 combat bayonet with frog

So far this looks very genuine and in excellent condition. I took the pommel apart and inside was a Nazi mark.

I haven't found any matching numbers on the scabbard but I didn't take it out of the frog to check closely either.

Can anybody remotely confirm the authenticity of this blade?

Very nice! You should check to see if the blade and the scabberd have matching numbers.

Good late war bayonet made in 1944 by CLC - the code for Rich. A. Herder.

A7009 is the individual serial number of the bayonet.

The eagle/swastika stamp on the inside of the grips is a WaffenAmt inspection mark.

the flashguard and grips are wrong as clc44 should have a red plastic grips, certainly not WaA253 proofed.
