K98k Bayonet- My First one!

Hi everyone, today I purchased my first K98k Bayonet.
The Scabbard's markings are as follows:
BERG & Co. 1940 and 2781 b

The Bayonet:
(C or G) oppel G.m.b.H.
and 7855
1

Here are some pictures of it. I know they lack in quality, but in person, this is one beauty of a bayonet.

Please tell as much as you can about it s well as its value!

Around 125 dollars. If the scabbard is non matching, that always brings the value down.

The Bayonet Collectors Network, or 'BCN' on-line,
It is a great source of information !

There should be a two digit date on the top flat area of the blade.

Blitzkrieg is correct on it's approximate value. Most K98 bayonets
and scabbards are mismatched.

Yeah, I found those 2 numbers, they are 4 and (unreadable) looks like a 0. There is also some sort of lubricant in the scabbard, can it be the original or was it done by the seller?
Yeah, I just couldn't resist this one, it is very nice. I will get better pics up later.
It may be worth $125.00, but to me its worth a lot more personally.
