    English translation: The bayoet is overall in a good condition, otherwise on the blade is nickel a bit peel off.

    Hi in addition to the big loss of plating that should make you run away,also the etch doesn' t seem so deep and crisp as shoul be...i wouls see other else...but its' just my poor opinion ...let's wait for the "etchperts"

    I wouldn't take it if it was free! Personally, I don't even think the bayo itself is real, the scabbard and grips certainly are not.

    I had a chance to look at all the pictures more closely. The bayonet is an original that was stripped, heavily polished and then Chrome plated. I stand by everything else I said. Junk not even good for parts.

    An unfortunate thread..to which the seller has blocked downloading photos. Links will die..which is no ones fault. Once comments has satisfied the authenticity of this Bayonet..I will delete this thread. Regards Larry

    With possibly the grips being new (??) I'm with Jim on this one as a postwar conversion to an etched bayonet. Not a very good job of faking, I also might be able to get some images for future reference if it's deemed worthwhile for the members. Best Regards, Fred
