Mundlos K98K Bayonet

Article about: 1939 Mundlos bayonet in a S/172 1940 scabbard. The scabbard is more interesting than the bayonet as there were only about 25000 of them manufactured ( according to BCN ) Scabbard serial is 3

Your close-up pictures are too out of focus to be of any use. What is the marking on the other side of the bayonet from the serial number? Is there a two number date on the spine of the bayonet? Scabbards are not normally marked on the stud as mine is it is only because mine is an Isreali rework, slip a small mirror in behind the scabbard on the other side and see what is marked there.

Looks like you have a nice 38 Mundlos but the scabbard is not matched to it. Same as mine.
