    Here are some pics of my 5 K98 bayonets. 4 of them has matching numbers, the one on the right is mismatched.
    Here are the markings from the left, to the right.

    S/178G 1936 ( Gebr.Heller)
    37 S/155 0.3318k ( E.u.F. Hörster)
    37 S/185 (Elite-Diamantwerk)
    43 CVL (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum und Co.)
    41 COF/42COF (Carl Eickhorn)

    What does 0.3318k mean ?

    Very nice collection, the O means Ostsee or east sea,it was a Kriegsmarine issued bayonet,I think the numbers are the unit.

    Indeed.

    Ostsee is also known as the Baltic.

    You also find bayonets marked "N" for Nordsee (North Sea).

    Nice bayonets.

    Thanks zwerge, you helped me with the right search word.
    Looks like an Ostsee, serial number and K for Kiel.
    That makes this bayo much more interesting ! I will make a separate thread on this one....

    Thanks. The sites I know, is the same sites as you will find, when googling K98 bayonet... I'm no expert on these...

    I have not bought mine on any commercial sites.

    I´m looking for US-Army issued M9 bayonets and I do have some S84/98III bayonets for swap.
