Need some help getting info about a bayonet.

Hey guys.

I'm pretty new to all this, so bare with me please.
I received a bayonet from my father, and I'm trying to get as much information about it.

From what I've been able to find out, I think it's a S84/98 bayonet.

It has 7299m stamped on one side of the blade, and S/244 on the reverse side next to the handguard.

The sheath has S/185 and 36 stamped on it by the opening, and 2900 g on the reverse side.

Any information anyone could give would be great.

Hi,it`s an S84/98,the bayonet was made by Mundlos,the scabbard was made by Elite Diamant in 1936,is there a two digit number on the spine near the hilt? That will tell what year the bayonet was made.

I assume Your bayonet made by Mundlos was too dated on spine of blade 36? WaA219 on pommel? best regards,Andy
