    3. Aviation troops = Golden Yellow
    4. Aviation supervisory troops = Green

Awesome piece, Eric! I learned a lot from this thread by Adrian's post about the felt. I think my dress bayo falls under aviation. Great thread!

Eric, i note am a detail.
Hole in the bayonet frog (for BAYO stud), probably subsequently modified.
Thus, it is possible that the frog, is subsequently inserted.
True, I can not see too well in the photos.

    Hello,

    1. this is not, not, not, not a Pioneer bayonet... i donīt know who devise this story.
This was one of three hilt forms... every soldier was free to buy what he like... but this form was not so popular like the KS98 style...

    Militaria Fundforum

It is only a Extra-Seitengewehr / Dressbayonet... nothing more. Please forget the story of the "Pioneer-Bayonet".

    2. the colors of the felt was not bound to any kind of troops (Waffenfarbe)...
The most have red (the most soldiers were Infantrymen, with a white Waffenfarbe... have you ever seen a white felt???? ) felts because in combination the colours are the german Flag: black (the grips)-white (the metal)-red (the felt).

    Regards
