No, sorry you are mistaken. These are correct for the shoulder straps, litzen etc. But these inserts ARE NOT waffenfarbe related.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hello,

    1. this is not, not, not, not a Pioneer bayonet... i don´t know who devise this story.
This was one of three hilt forms... every soldier was free to buy what he like... but this form was not so popular like the KS98 style...

    Militaria Fundforum

It is only a Extra-Seitengewehr / Dressbayonet... nothing more. Please forget the story of the "Pioneer-Bayonet".

    2. the colors of the felt was not bound to any kind of troops (Waffenfarbe)...
The most have red (the most soldiers were Infantrymen, with a white Waffenfarbe... have you ever seen a white felt???? ) felts because in combination the colours are the german Flag: black (the grips)-white (the metal)-red (the felt).

    Regards
    Partly true, for pioneering bayonet.
(I do not agree with your statement for color)
"Pioneer" was created thanks to collectors.
I agree that they are relatively less common.
A similar case can be found for Prinz Eugen sword.
Many people have tried to push this sword for SS.

    Regards
    Vedran

    Hello Ade,

I have a question about this list of colorings for the felt for the bayonet mortisse. Where did it come from? Is this in a regulation? I personally have seen only two colors and that is red and green with a preponderance of the color red. I personally believe that it has absolutely nothing to do with a soldiers branch of service but just an added item by the company that sold the bayonet. Thanks.

    Fred
