production numbers of Elite Diamant bayonets

Good day to you all. Does ANYONE have a fair idea as to the numbers of Elite Diamant K98k bayonets produced in WW2..also, does anyone have any idea as to the numbers produced in 1938 specifically? I am truly thankful for anyones' help in this matter...sincerely, Ben.

There is no letter. On the scabbard, there is "38" below the Elite-Diamant stamp. No letter on the scabbard either. Is this bad??

No, it just means you have one of the first 10000 made in 1938. After that they gave the next 10000 the suffix a. and then b and so on.

The Elite Diamant was a middle range producer, so even the procuction varying as not similar in various years, the estimate was made about 60000 - 70000 made at year, the 38 production in non letter range should be with wooden grips, the 1940 was declared as smaller ammount.
