    Good day to you all. Does ANYONE have a fair idea as to the numbers of Elite Diamant K98k bayonets produced in WW2..also, does anyone have any idea as to the numbers produced in 1938 specifically? I am truly thankful for anyones' help in this matter...sincerely, Ben.

    I see you asked this question on the BCN forum,If they can`t answer it who can?I have an old list from 2004, it gives production for 1938 as 82969 in a to h range.What is the number on yours.

    Is there no letter after or below the number 4886 ?

    There is no letter. On the scabbard, there is "38" below the Elite-Diamant stamp. No letter on the scabbard either. Is this bad??

    No, it just means you have one of the first 10000 made in 1938. After that they gave the next 10000 the suffix a. and then b and so on.
