s84/98 Matching ASW 44
Matching s84/98 ASW 44 matching numbers on bayonet and scabbard. Bayonet itself could be better. Has not been taken care of before I picked it up cheap matching ones are getting harder to find. timothy

Very Nice. I have one of the 43asw bayonets with the matching serial numbered scabbards with the 44asw stamp on the scabbard. From what I have read some were made this way.
Very nice bayonet, untouched.
Leave it in this state.
A good representative matching example. From memory it's the "t", " u", and "v" blocks sometime in mid 1944 (with perhaps a few stragglers at either end) that put back into service a 1943 date stamp for the scabbards by this maker for a relatively brief period. Regards, Fred
It's sad they sharpened it, nice bayo though!
Yes same opinion, someone sharpened the blade postwar, which decrease the collector value.
