I like this Dress bayonet - A little worn, but still nice.
I've noticed the prices for these have gone up
slightly in the last year or so. Some day I'll
buy one.........

Steve.
Walkwolf you are correct about them going up in price when I first picked some up they could be had for thirty to fifty they have tripled in price for good examples especially in correct KS98 dress frog with knot. I have always liked them as they suit my collection of EM items more than daggers associated with officers or polotical leaders. Tom Johnson did a good article in the 1980' s on them and said they were sleeper TR items and he looked for the price to go up in the future. timothy
Indeed, I used to see them not long ago for around $75, and lately over $100.
Personally, I refuse to pay over-inflated prices for average/below average
pieces - Someone sees a near-mint example selling for what it should
due to its condition, and then tags his own inferior article at the
identical price because, in their mind, it is 'the same'.........

Steve.
Hi Timothy..this is a nice example..a little salty on the outside..but I have never encountered a Herder type before. Nice Find!
