Single engraved bayonet
Just picked up this single engraved bayonet from a good friend. An absolutely pristine bayonet by Eickhorn, the premier edged weapons maker of the time. As a bonus, it comes with a nice private purchase lacquered leather frog and perfect scabbard. It's my first etched bayo in 40 years of collecting edged weapons!

The frog has a shiny lacquered finish so I assume it is. Nicest frog I've ever seen.

If this is your first, one thing is for sure, you will never need to upgrade, as I don't believe you would ever find one in nicer condition anywhere!

Bernie i dont collect these etched bayo's, you have to be a complete expert buying these bayo's today.
Fakes are nearly perfect, so i keep away from them.
But...... i most admitt that your set is lovely all the way.
Etch looks perfectly centered and it has as far as i can see all the bells, but im far from an expert on etched blades.
Pristine all the way!
The scabbard paint looks even brand new!
