I might add s84/98 service or combat bayonet were NEVER found with etching as it was a issue piece belonging to the govt and the solider it was issued to was responsible for it KS98 walking out dress bayonets were normally private purchase and the solider could opt for etching (See George Wheelers book Seitengewher 1919 to 1945) he has a section where he discusses one like you show. timothy
