Dates from the First World War - there might be a date on the back of the blade.
It is a S84/98 made by Deutsche Mashinenfabrik A-G or Demag for short.
Fitted the Mauser K98 rifle.
The design (without the sawback) was the standard design used by German forces in WW2.
The saw was designed as a tool - not as a means of inflicting additional injury.
Looks to be in good condition.

but they are very small.

As this is not a pioneer bayonet sawback in this case was destined for NCO.
