    Dates from the First World War - there might be a date on the back of the blade.

    It is a S84/98 made by Deutsche Mashinenfabrik A-G or Demag for short.

    Fitted the Mauser K98 rifle.

    The design (without the sawback) was the standard design used by German forces in WW2.

    The saw was designed as a tool - not as a means of inflicting additional injury.

    Looks to be in good condition.

    Hi, thanks, there is no numbers stamped in it, but some small marks who seems to be a kings crown and a letter under?
    but they are very small.

    This is on a sword pommel, but the same idea, which also indicated government property. FP

    As this is not a pioneer bayonet sawback in this case was destined for NCO.
