Default Woodwork find K98 bayonet with special frog ?

Hello everyone , just landed this one via a colleague of mine. It belonged to his father who picked it up at war's end in Belgium.

It has matching nrs , condition is pretty good I'd say.
I was wondering about the frog as it is very different to the two I have and others I have found on the net.

The maker is cof 41 , which is Carl Eickhorn in Solingen.

Hi Frank, the frog is Czech. Often re-used by the Germans, I have one.

    Cheers, Ade.

Thanks Ade , I just found the old smithy site and I saw some Czech frogs but they are not an exact match. (I think) The photos mostly show one side. Apparently it could be Austrian as well.

This one was listed there as Austrian. The back and the pebbled look are identical.

It could be czechoslovak or austrian M95 frog, from the marking i would tend to czechoslovak .

Hello the bayonet is a postwar rework, reblued and non matching, the bayonet is probably austrian prewar M95 piece with added Carl Eickhorn mark, that i believe is a fake. So large stamp was never used, same as Eickhorn didnt produce any leather items.
