    it is an original 98k bayo. for mounted troops.(cross strap on grip) it looks a bit rusty and the blade has been sharpend. value is relitive to how happy you are with it.

    If the bayonet and scabbard are matching and you also got the frog,then that is a very good deal IMHO.

    Well the thing is this was one ebay a week ago and i sent him a message before it got removed, anyway he said how much do you want it for and i had no idea so i just said to him £30 and he said he has been offered £35 as his max offer so im pretty sure i can get the lot for £40-£45 =D

    Maker, year and Numbers matching are key things to look for when buying these. Some makers are more rarer than others as some did not produce as many bayonets during the war.
    Cant tell if its a late war, or an earlier blued blade from the pics. But if its not matching, then the price is reasonable (still free shipping is great!). If matching, you got a nice deal!

    Hey Bill, do you know if a matching fnj42 is a common bayonet?
