75 years ago today, the major concentration camp at Lublin was liberated by Soviet forces. Only a few hundred prisoners were found alive in the camp, one of the largest of all Konzentrationslagers. To mark the anniversary of the liberation, various commemorative events were arranged including talks of remembrance by former prisoners of the camp, the deputy Polish Prime Minister, relatives of former inmates and museum directors. Modern studies estimate nearly 80,000 people died in the Lublin camp system.
