    Default Auschwitz electrical fence signs?

    Hi,

I teach warhistory to kids. I trie to give'm a message about the madness the holocaust was.
I'm not a pronazi freak that collect nazi stuff or think that Hitler made a mistake and didn't do his job in the concentrationcamps... So, please, don't start on that. I think it is important that people don't forget. Even Hitler was once a schoolkid. Wish his history teacher did his job better...

Recently i received these two fence signs. The previous owner got these from Polish constructors. This guy sells old stuff on markets. The Polish constructors told him that there parents still had some WW2 stuf so when they got back from Poland they sold it to the guy in Belgium. They told him the signs were token by there parents right after WW2 in Birkenau.
I'm happy to see there are no signs that the signs were looted on purpose recently. It is all rusty egaly near the holes.

So, my question to the experts. Are these Auschwitz2 Birkenau fence signs?
    Thanks
    Paco

They have nothing to do with the camps

I have one myself, they are merely industrial.

Well that first picture is nonsense

I am no KZ expert but I don't think they are from KZs

I remember a previous Thread regarding one of these...Not KZ Related, although often seen advertised as such...Made in Poland...

It also appears that the Camps still have plenty of their warning-signs present...in view of the many such signs being offered online lately, I believe suspicions are justified....

I paid £15 on eBay for it a coupe of months ago
I knew it wasn't ww2 related, just found it appealing
I have it above the electricity cupboard

    Nice collection by the way

We also teach and preserve history here as well...and using collectables as examples of what happened during that period......so you are welcome to teach among the rest of us.

Be patient our Moderator Carl and some of our other advanced collectors will be along shortly to help you out with the signs you posted.

Nie dotykać urządzenie elektryczne means dont touch electrical device, you can find such signs usually on lanterns, utility poles, boxes that contain cables/switches etc..
