GROß-ROSEN PERIOD IMAGE APPEAL
Dear all,
One of my current projects addresses the main camp at Groß-Rosen. The work requires as many period images of the site as possible, for use in a future international publication.
I would be grateful of any assistance with this matter, so if you are the owner of an image such as mentioned above, please contact me via PM.
Regards,
Carl
Great images!!! Nothing brings the horrors of war home like a visit to these concentration camps, they truly are places of evil and a reminder of the failings of mankind...i once sat alone at Sachsenhausen for 3 hours trying to take in the horrors..these places should not be forgotten or ignored ...always enjoy your images and the emotions they evoke
Excellent thread -- Thank you.
Thank you gents.
Today, February 13th 2015, is the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Groß-Rosen. Around 40,000 died within the Groß-Rosen camps or during the evacuations before Soviet liberators arrived.
The really scary thing, is how the mentality that allowed this to happen in the 1930s/40s, is becoming popular again, and for many of the same reasons.
