Hi Guys, does anyone know if the early double oval stamped maker mark on a FIRST model kriegsmarine dagger is ok if the rabbits ass is pointing towards the grip and not the tip of the blade. I know on the 2nd model the maker mark should be the other way around ass and point of the blade on the stamp pointing towards the tip of the blade but on the early stamped oval mark (no dagger in the rabbits hands) was it the other way around ?

Does anyone know? Forgot to mention its an Eickhorn double oval, 1935 I think and can be seen on wardaggers site in the Eickhorn maker marks section. I don't want to purchase the dagger if the maker mark is not the correct way around, anyone's help would be much appreciated.

ok guys I got lucky and found a dagger with a similar early maker mark (single oval) and now know Eickhorn did stamp their marks that way up early on.

It would be interesting to see a picture of the dagger and trademark.

I was wondering if you received the dagger. Would be interesting to see an early Eickhorn navy.
