    Hi all,
here is my other ask for help with this 2nd model Navy dagger with plain blade marked by Eickhorn. I would like to ask you to help me identify if this one is original or not and if yes the fair price for it. I went through net but it is hard to find examples with plain blade and also this I think late war markings (if it is correct one) is hard to find.
    Thank you, Mike

The Plain Eickhorn logo is correct for these plain blades. Can you provide close ups of the scabbard carrying bands..top and bottom? The loops for the carrying rings..are not what is commonly seen..nor the flattened bands. The scabbard may be repro..JMO..wait for "dr73 Danny " Regards Larry

The eyelets look like they belong to rope bands and shouldn't the leaves go all the way around the bottom of the scabbard these stop at the edges.

Hi Mike, the scabbard is a post war example. You can tell by the eyelets in combination with the pressed out scabbard bands. The blade is post war too. You can tell by the poor detail of the trademark but also by the position of the trademark. The trademark is upside down compared to an original. I've added a picture of an original to compare. The pommel could be original but is lacking a lot of detail, especially the leaves. I've also added a picture to compare yours with.
