I always start at the acorn end and work backwards, i tried it the other way quite a few times and got so frustrated i nearly threw the whole lot out the window, there is no way that acorn goes through the knot if you start from the top, but once youve tied five or six it gets easier but i still need the diagram

Is there a proper step by step diagram?

Thanks Dave, I found it. The portepee on my Heer dagger looks too long and a bit untidy so I might move it to my Kriegsmarine - I have a feeling I might need to find the correct frame of mind though - and be alone in the house!

Beautiful dagger and a Steal at the price. The rest are definitely right, though-you for sure have to tie on that Gordian's knot to dress it up right! Congrads! William
    Thanks Wagriff
