    Got it for 765$
The seller put a couple more pictures on the add....
I will upload more pictures, when I get the dagger...

It looks fine from the photos but I don't think the portepee should be tied on like that. My Kriegsmarine dagger is missing this and the thought of tying it on is putting me off purchasing one!

It looks good to me too - a nice clean KM dagger by a respected maker !

The knot has been tied 'Heer style', and is also twisted along the grip.
It may actually be a Heer portipee, so there will not be enough
    length to wrap it correctly.........

Adrian, I have a good illustration which shows how to tie this knot.

    ps - I have a Heer dagger without a portipee !

You're right about the portepee. I will have a go at it when it arrives, and i've got a couple of hours to work on it.

There are two cord lengths for the KM dagger that are appropriate,
and I believe the standard one is 19 inches long,
    not including the acorn.........

There's also a good illustration in LTC. Johnson's "Collectors' handbook of WWII german Daggers" page 11.
For those who got it on the shelf...

That looks more like it Steve, where do you start to tie it, at the top or bottom?

This is the one I have - and with some patience, the knot is
fairly easy to accomplish. I had to try it a few times
before I got it just right........!

The bottom two daggers show how the two lengths should look :
