Kriegsmarine daggers ( Question ) without release button

Quick question to the dagger collectors out there
On navy TR or Weimar period daggers how often do u come across blades with a catch and no sign of a push button on the crossguard?
Hope u understand what i mean.

I understand what you mean. I cannot say I can recall ever seeing one without the retaining catch.

So how do you withdraw it from the scabbard?

Very strange, ive never seen a real one like that, but i do remember seeing a spanish replica that just had a spring catch, to withdraw you just pulled the blade out and the spring would ride down the inside of the scabbard, it was just strong enough to hold the blade in, are there any pictures to show

Sorry no pics at the moment but its an original unmarked navy dagger and the catch on the blade does not stop the blade coming out of the scabbarb.
Blade fits well in scabbarb but no
sign of the push button.
I was told the pommel had been changed to the 1938 regulations that came in.
