German NAVY black smooth belt buckle??

I was told by someone that this German buckle is a Navy buckle?? It is painted black and instead of the "pebbled" texture on the edges, it is smooth. It is also marked B&N 43. Any opinions would be great! thanks

it's a good Berge & Nolte buckle, late war one, blue painted , for both Heer and KM.

Thanks for the info! It must be a really dark blue-almost looks black. But, color doesn't bother me--just wanted to make sure it was good! Thanks and I have also listed a couple other buckles/belts on the forum if you get a chance to look at those!
