I'm try to post better pics now, in the leather tab we can see the classic stamps (RS&S 1938) and the M+"EAGLE" stamps!

Hi all,
this is a late war dark blue finish JFS kreigsmarine buckle (Angolia book 2001 ed., pg. 108) presumedly for the coastal navy artillery (80-85% original paint!)

Nice buckle Andrea. Hard to say wether it was a coastal Art. or Army issued buckle. They were used by both - but mostly by the army though. With the leather tabs no longer being used by the time these buckles were being issued - it's impossible to say exactly which branch this buckle was used in. Great buckle though! Thanks for sharing!
