Hi
It looks fine to me. A worn original.

An original KvkII Klasse mit Schwertern, no problems with this one...replacement ribbons are easily found if you prefer a longer one...
cheers, Glenn
Thanks for quick answers, exactly what did you do to earn this medal? Did they wear it on the field? I know the first class were worn.

Thanks

An original cross. Ribbons get cut down for many reasons and the chances are this ribbon and cross didn't start out togethe. You can find replacement ribbon quite easily on dealer sites.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Cameron: Thanks, a lot of good information that helped!
Adrian: But the ribbon is still original? Do you have any example why they shorted down them?
Regards
No problems with that one

Yes, the ribbon is original.
I have no idea why this is cut so short. There could be many reasons why you might find a short length of ribbon. I've had similar lengths with EK2s.
My gut feeling is the seller got the medal without a ribbon, had an odd piece lying around and put them together.
