Not really much point in making fakes of these, but, of course, they do. There were Many different makers of this medal, so there will be numerous variations, I imagine. As for this one, I have to say that I'm not getting a real good feel off of it. The Rims are Very thin and the Sword Grips do not look right either. The Leaves in the wreath also do not look as they should. It seems odd that the ribbon is in such a state of wear but the medal itself shows little if any such wear. These are easy enough to find, so, for my own comfort of mind, I would pass on this one.

I agree with William that the sword handles and leaves look odd, but it could be just poor photos. Ask the seller if the ring is marked.

He said he didn't see any markings on the ring, but my other WM medal that is original doesn't have one either.
