What exactly was the KVKmS 2nd Class awarded for? I know the official definitions, replaced the non combatant EK2 1914, awarded for merit, but does anyone have any examples of what this medal was actually awarded for?

War Merit Cross with Swords...An example would be the Hitler-Youth Flak Helpers defending the cities, for instance...Combat-related actions not quite considered worthy of the Iron Cross...
