Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2.Klasse Ribbon Help Please

I picked up a civilian merit badge which I believe is correct. The ribbon with the thin red line is interesting as most do not have them from what I have seen. Is this an early ribbon or am I missing something? Did I end up with a repro? All opinions good or bad are appreciated as I am here to learn.

Hi John. This ribbon is for the medal version, not the Cross.........

That's not the correct ribbon for the 2nd class. That's for the War Service Medal. The Cross ribbon doesn't have the little stripe in the middle.

You might be able to find a NOS KVK ribbon on eBay.........

Thanks. I probably have one in a bin that I have to look for. The repros on eBay are getting pretty good and I would like an original. Is there a standard length of ribbon for a cross that I should be aware of? I have seen longer ones like the one pictured and some shorter than that.
