    I've done a bit more research and I would be happy that the cross is original. The catch is the same as you find on the Deutsche Kreuz from Zimmermann. The cross looks like it is made from tombak but has the hinge normally found on zinc crosses. Would really like to see the makers mark clearly but I'm giving it a .

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
