I picked this war merit medal up at a militaria fair in Brecon for £8, probably the least desirable of the many medals and awards for a collector, but does this unloved medal look original?

I concur, it looks original. While a minor medal, if you are going to have the KVK medals then it is an example you would want to have. A nice little medal on its own merits, and not very expensive.

Any original TR award that can be bought for £8 is worth having no matter how unloved it is or how common the award.
