I bought this merit cross very cheap and suspect it is a repro. I could not find a makers mark and the clasp is broken off. What do you think? Thanks.

I don't Like it, but there Is a chance that it is one of the unmarked late war badges made from the low grade materials. But, even so, if by some long chance it Was genuine, the damage would Still make it uncollectable, in my opinion. William

I don't see too much wrong with it. The pebbling on the obverse arms could be a little sharper but taking into account die wear/materials could be a reason why they're a little blurred. The reverse looks ok, the hinge is looks like an S&L.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
I would agree, it looks good apart from the missing bits !

Maybe a closeup of the edge of the frame (from the side) might help. But so far it looks OK to me.
