    A recent relic pickup is this Kvk from Poland still with remnants of it's packet and ribbon.

    Was it never issued & thrown away at the end of hostilities, or still in the tunic pocket of a soldat when he fell, proud of his award? One of the many unanswerable questions that makes this hobby so interesting for me.

    Some may well say, "why spend money on this when pristine ones are so affordable" ..... I can't argue with that logic except to say relics do it for me!
    Thought it might do it for you too..

    I quite like it. It has more to it than the normal relic pieces we see. I like the fact we can see it deteriorated still in it's packet and it's like it came straight from the factory and then perhaps never saw the light of day before ending up like this seventy plus years later.
    Do you know where it was to get into such a state?

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
