Yes, I am measuring across, not up and over. NOW I understand, I will sent some new measurements!
    Cheers, Dan
Ok Lars, average of three 64 lids is 450mm front to back, 440mm side to side. Just for the record, my M40 Q66 is 460mm front to back and 450 side to side ( all measured up and over with the tape held close to the helmet )
    Cheers, Dan

Nice photo Krad - they DO tell a 1000 words don't they??
    Such as ....

"Can he sling anything else over his shoulders"????
Eventually your shoulder-boards WILL come off!
THAT'S why no-one can find a folding shovel carrier!!!
Good to see OT binos in use other than Africa!

And of course a cover ALSO can be sloppy to break the obvious telltale shape of a German helmet and confuse a sniper

    I LIKE it!!

I love it too. He has been in the s**t so long that he just doesn't care anymore, and is quite happy about that I hope he made it.

Only 11:30, I'll be heading up soon though I'm working tomorrow

It's been pretty good, I had a few days off since I covered a colleague for most of last week. Score

    Hello guys,

Just a quick update. As some of you know me and the wife have been very busy at work lately. Very... We both want these covers to be as good as possible, so we ordered an original Wehrmacht thread roll in Feldgrau. It came in today with some other items from Germany. We will go to our Dacha and finish the covers there. Please be patient

Original WH Feldgrau repair thread. It's a quite thick thread
